Year 12 CHEMISTRY SS3

CHEMISTRY SS3

This is a chemistry class for year 12 students. We will learn about how compounds are formed, the different ways that compounds can be changed, and how various compounds react to each other. We will also learn about atomic and molecular theory. This course is designed to allow you to develop a solid foundation in Chemistry, solving problems using the principles of chemical reaction, stoichiometry and quantum theory. Studying this subject will prepare you for further study in a chosen field of science or technology.

Year 10 PHYSICS SS1

PHYSICS SS1

Physics Practice Year 10 is a complete revision of the standards, to ensure you are fully prepared for your exams. A step-by-step approach teaches you clearly, how change happens every day in our lives. It also teaches how to teach physics in my classroom Physics is the study of matter, energy, and its interactions. It involves understanding how the force works, how heat and light are transmitted through materials, and how charged particles move in the matter.

Year 11 CHEMISTRY SS2

CHEMISTRY SS2

A chemistry laboratory is a combination of equipment, natural science and mathematics that enable the student to prepare, purify and analyses samples in order to undertake experiments. These experiments are carried out with safety in mind to produce accurate results. The matter used in the experiments is generally prepared by the students at home or purchased from a chemist’s shop. The use of chemicals requires care and attention to safety as well as normal work procedures such as wearing protective clothing for mixing chemicals, use of protective equipment when handling these substances during experiments etc.

Year 9 COMPUTER STUDIES/ICT JSS3

COMPUTER STUDIES/ICT JSS3

ICT Year 9 is a tabletop computer used to teach programming, spreadsheet manipulation and Internet content. The use of ICT enables students to gain a better understanding of technology and digital strategies in an educational context.  It also allows greater access to learning resources at home or on the move. ICT Year 9 gives students the opportunity to develop their own interests, whether in Science, Humanities or Languages. Specialized classes will also be held to enable students with prior learning difficulties to work at their own personal pace.

Year 10 CHEMISTRY SS1

CHEMISTRY SS1

Chemistry is a subject which teaches students how to organise and perform calculations. It also addresses the basic principles of electricity and magnetism, as well as the empirical relationships between chemical substances, known in school as atoms. In this course, students will study the fundamental concepts of chemistry. They will learn about the chemical elements, states of matter and about chemical reactions. Additionally, in this course, students will explore some scientific applications of chemistry to provide insights into biology and medicine.

Year 11 FURTHER MATHEMATICS SS2

FURTHER MATHEMATICS SS2

Further Mathematics Year 11 is designed to help students develop their mathematical ability to solve real problems that they come across in the classroom, their workplace, and in social situations.  This course will develop problem-solving skills and critical thinking by involving students in working collaboratively through an exploration of the nature of mathematics beyond pure rules and processes.  Our Further Mathematics course is an exciting introduction to the subject. You'll learn all you need to know about linear algebra, complex numbers, polynomials, inequalities, and functions.

Year 8 COMPUTER STUDIES/ICT JSS2

COMPUTER STUDIES/ICT JSS2

ICT Year 8 provides students with a rigorous and comprehensive foundation in ICT. An emphasis on collaboration is placed as students learn from each other, peer tutors and supportive families who are mentors in the classroom.Year 8 students complete a year-long ICT curriculum which enables them to be informed, informed and connected. Students learn key skills such as creativity, collaboration and communication through the integration of technology.
